Questions families often ask
How many photos of my pet do I need?
Around fifty photos are enough for a lovely mosaic, and most people discover they have far more — camera rolls tend to hold hundreds of one animal. More photos give the portrait more colours to work with and more moments to find up close, but there is no need to curate; the blurry ones belong too.
Do ordinary phone photos really work, even blurry ones?
Yes — tiles print small, so everyday snapshots are exactly the right material. Mixed quality is fine: the mid-zoom blur, the too-dark evening photo and the perfect portrait all find their place. If you have old printed photos of them, photograph the prints with your phone and add those as well.
How long does it take, and do I see it before it prints?
You see a complete preview of the mosaic before anything is printed, and you can adjust until it feels like them. After you approve it, museum-grade printing and insured delivery typically take about a week — and the preview stage means nothing is ever printed that you have not seen.
